Leigh Douglas Overland, Architect, AIA, NCARB

Mr. Overland received his Bachelor of Architecture from New York Institute of Technology, and studied at The American University in Rome, Italy.  A member of the American Institute of Architects, the Connecticut Society of Architects, & the Building Officials and Code Administrators, he is currently Chairman of the Danbury Architectural Advisory Committee and on the Board of the Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce and the Founder and past president of Westport (BNI), a 60 member organization of professional Westport businesses.

Mr. Overland's architectural firm, established in 1980, is certified in the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and is able to practice nationally through the National Council of Architectural Registration Board. The firm designs many project types with the majority being commercial, religious and residential projects, with over 40 projects a year managed concurrently.  His philosophy of "Creativity isn't enough - communication between the architect, the clients, the consultants, and the builders is the key to good architecture" has served as a creative basis for his communicating architectural principles and values.  Mr. Overland's firm has the motto of "Good Design Doesn't Just Happen".

Mr. Overland has won several awards including one for his own home by the Westport Historic Preservation Trust.  He was also asked by ABC's Extreme Home Makeover - Home Addition to be the architect for the Connecticut home which aired October 14th, 2007.  Hundreds of residential alterations, additions, and new homes as well as recent commercial projects including Wells Fargo & David Lerner's Investment Regional Headquarters, Waterbury Federal Teachers Credit Union, Waterview, Candlewood & Riverview Banquet Facilities, Veterinary Hospitals, Health Spas, St. Elizabeth's Seton Church, and many well-known restaurants.  Leigh has been a leader in many civic and social organizations including being the youngest recipient  to receive the B'nai Brith Youth Service Award.  Leigh has donated his services and funds to countless non profit organizations, and has been published over 50 times in various newspapers and magazines.

  • Dr. Amir Nasir

    Dr. Nasir is a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery who has performed thousands of plastic surgery procedures. He has advanced fellowship training in Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery from Boston University. He has received the Top Plastic Surgeon Award for two years in a row by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. Dr. Nasir is a Plastic Surgeon in Fairfield County and serves the towns of Westport and Fairfield locally as well as surrounding communities. He also serves patients from all over Connecticut, regionally, including many from New York City, as as well as international patients.

    Dr. Nasir was extremely honored when Dr. James Lyons, an internationally respected cosmetic surgeon, author, and lecturer with over 30 years of surgical experience chose Dr. Nasir to join his growing practice in Westport. Dr. Nasir has had the truly unique opportunity to partner with one of the masters of cosmetic surgery.

    Amongst his peers, Dr. Nasir has a unique background which includes earning a Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester, a Master’s in Public Health from Tulane University in New Orleans, and an MD from the University of Kansas. He was one of a handful of young doctors in the United States selected for his prestigious and highly coveted six-year integrated plastic surgery residency.

    Dr. Nasir has served as Assistant Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Upstate, NY and at UConn Health in Farmington, CT where he helped to train the next generation of  doctors, plastic surgeons, and general surgeons.

    Before going into medicine he worked as an engineer on the correction for the Hubble Space Telescope and has received both the Outstanding Achievement Award and the Pride in Excellence Award from Ball Aerospace. Dr. Nasir also served for two years in the U.S. Peace Corps in a remote West African village on the Guinea Warm Eradication Program. His service in Africa led directly to his interest and career in medicine.
